Apart from appearing to learn how to smile over the years, the changes my mind and body went through during different stages of my life is evident.
1. Returning from 5 months overseas living in the US and travelling Europe. 81kgs
2. After starving myself (because I had no money from the before mentioned travel) for a few weeks, I dropped weight quickly. 75kgs 3. After a year of eating/drinking whatever I wanted and ‘gyming’ hard + winning a premiership (big few months socially). 85kgs 20% body fat
4. After 6 months of eating and living a balanced lifestyle following an easy to follow flexible nutrition and training plan. 75kgs 11% body fat

I was teaching my year 10 students today about finding their purpose in life and when a kid asked me, “Mr Barnes, what is your purpose in life?”…I froze. I told the kids that like a lot of people and like some of you right now, I don’t know really know what my purpose is. What I do know is that I like educating and inspiring people, that’s why I teach and that’s why I do personal training/nutrition coaching.
We are all on a journey and while we might not know where our destination is just yet, one thing is guaranteed, support is here if you need it
