The Movement

What is the goal? 

My dream is to empower people in the pursuit of reaching their genetic potential through mastering their own health. When we improve our nutrition, fitness and wellness – we improve our quality of life in the present and in the future. We owe it to ourselves and the future generations to live a long and healthy life, passing on our knowledge and skills for many years to come.
It’s important to love yourself, the way you look, the way you feel no matter what – it’s even more important to love wanting to IMPROVE yourself every single day. 

The stats  

Fitness: 
– 1 in 3 (31%) adults are obese. 
– 1 in 4 (25%) children are obese. 
– 1 in 2 (55%) adults do not meet the physical activity guidelines (150mins+ per 5 days) 
– 2 in 3 (70%) children did not meet the physical activity guidelines (60mins+ per day) 
– 2 in 5 (42%) children do not participate in local sporting activities in the community. 
Nutrition: 
-9 in 10 (90%) adults do not consume enough vegetables each day
-99% of children do not consume enough vegetables each day 
-7.3% of the total burden of disease in Australia is due to poor diet 
-On average Children consume 3 – 8 serves of junk food each day
-On average Adults consume 5-7 serves of junk food each day 
Wellness: 
-Approximately 3,000 deaths by suicide occur each year
-Suicide is the leading cause of death for young Australians (age 15-44) 
-Males are 4 times more likely to take their own life than females 
-Females account for 64% of the hospitalisations due to self harm
